On Top GearEdit

In Series 1, Top Gear reviewed both the Lotus Elise 111S and the Lotus Esprit.

In Series 4, presenter Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the Lotus Exige and the car also featured in one of the show's famous challenges, where Clarkson pitted the car against an Apache Helicopter Gunship. The challenge was to see if the gunship could get missile lock on the Exige as Jeremy did a single lap around the Top Gear test track (which Lotus Engineers are also responsible for designing). In the end, the gunship failed to get missile lock on the car, but did manage to 'destroy' Clarkson and the car from two miles away. The Exige managed to do a Power Lap time of 1.26.9 (on a wet track), faster than a Porsche 911 GT3.

In Series 13 Jeremy Clarkson reviewed Lotus' most recent car, the Lotus Evora giving it a generally good review and saying that it is a better chioce than a Porsche Boxster or Porsche Cayman. The Evora went on to do a lap time of 1.25.7, faster than a Lamborghini Gallardo.
