The Lamborghini Huracán is a sports car built by the Italian car maker Lamborghini, and was available for sale in mid 2014. The Huracán was unveiled in the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, and translates into Spanish, meaning 'hurricane'. The Huracán is the replacement for the iconic Lamborghini Gallardo.
The Huracán is powered by a 5.2 liter Lamborghini V10, which was also used in the Gallardo, and produces 602 horsepower. Unlike the Gallardo, this car also features a stop-start system for fuel efficiency. The Huracán is also a mid-engined two door. It has a top speed of over 202 mph, and does 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds. It also features an AWD system.
The Huracán's first appeared in Top Gear USA's Season 4 episode, Need for Speed, in which it was driven by presenter Adam Ferrara, competing against Rutledge Wood's Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and Tanner Foust's Volkswagen Golf R. The Huracán defeats the Porsche and the Volkswagen in a drag race, and a top speed challenge, but fails to beat the Porsche in a navigation and a Nurburgring run. At the end, Adam completes the Nurburgring in 9:43, tenth of a second slower than the Porsche's 9:42 run.
The Huracán was also featured in Top Gear Series 22 Episode 1 and The Stig drove it around the track, resulting in a laptime of 01:15.8, and became the fourth fastest car around the track, being faster than a McLaren MP4-12C, Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Koenigsegg CCX and a Pagani Zonda F. The Huracán was beaten by the Ariel Atom V8 500, BAC Mono and the Pagani Huayra. hi im caca
