Fiat Panda is a city car built by Fiat since 1983. Designed as small with a capable of both FWD and 4WD for non-pavement that can use for off-road. Body style only in hatchback. First-gen Fiat Panda design is similar to the passenger car, later MY-models expanded a van (a bit tall) and convertible version it retained the overall size. A SEAT version is also produced as Marbella. First-gen Panda produced until 2003. From second to current third-gen Panda now in 5-door hatchback with increased overall dimension while still catgorised as city car.

Inline engines come with two to four-cylinders (including three-cylinder). Inline-twin and three is unavailable in second-gen in-favour of inline-4 but returned in current third-gen. Both in petrol and diesel (now as Multijet); hybrid in petrol (as Firefly). Fire petrol engines are twinvalve (8-valves per cylinder) but multivalves in 1.4-litre including Multijet diesel engines. 1.4-litre includes with CNG version.

Throughout in its production. Fiat Panda praises for it's 4WD capability, being small, etc.

James May has often spoken fondly of the Panda, even owning one from 2005 to 2014 and loving it greatly.

  • In Series 3, Episode 5, James reviews the Gen 2 Panda for the first time. He adores the Panda praising it's interior, spaciousness, comfort, drive, and price.
  • In Series 6, Episode 7, Jeremy races a Gen 2 Panda 4x4 against A.C. Muir across London's Marathon race. Despite praising the Panda's abilities as a city car, he ultimately loses to Mr. Muir.
  • In Series 9, Episode 6, Jeremy converts a Gen 1 Panda into his Limousine which he nicknames the "Giant Panda" against James' Alfaab (Alfa Romeo 164 & Saab 9000) and Richard's Convertible Limo (MG F). Despite losing the first two challenges, Jeremy manages to get his guest Chris Moyles to the BRIT Awards.
  • In Series 11, Episode 2, Jeremy ranks the Panda below the "Seriously Uncool" section of the Cool Wall due to James owning one.
  • In Series 12, Episode 4, James arrives in his own Panda to test the Zonda F Roadster.
  • In Series 18, Episode 3, after loathing the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition, James tests the Gen 3 Panda at the Top Gear Test Track. Despite proving the Panda to have it's performance reduced by the British Public, he once again loves it praising it's peppiness, practicality, price, and excitement.
  • In James May's Cars of the People, Series 2, Episode 2 (COTP), James states the Gen 1 Panda 4x4 to be the ultimate AWD car for the people due to it's cheapness and ruggedness.
  • For The Grand Tour's Colombia Special, May buys a Gen 1 Panda 4x4 as the ultimate 4x4 for photographing animals against Clarkson in a Jeep Wrangler and Hammond in a Chevrolet Silverado Monster Truck. Despite breaking down twice and having it's electrics ruined, May falls in love with his Panda due to it's peppy nature, roarty engine and it's surprisingly good off-road ability.
  • In Series 26, Episode 1, Schmitz in a Gen 3 Panda Cross races against Reid in a Suzuki Ignis up Gurlet Hill.
