Design[]

Mark I[]

Dampervan's design inspired a dinghy with a much tiny 2.3-hp Honda motorboat engine. He further welding on the floor, adding like a cabin so he can sail upon on the water.

Mark II[]

Richard choses again the VW Type 2 T3 with same design with blue/white colour that resembles to a sailor and addresses the lack of waterproofing which much better.

Challenge[]

Dampervan Mark I[]

Upon going to the lake. Richard is having trouble going uphill traffic which his dampervan is heavier plus a compromised power and torque. Fortunately, he has able to arrive after Clarkson.

After James was first went through the water before he stuck on the water weed (later sail). When Hammond was next, he realised that he has a lacks of waterproofing, Thus, get sank later rescued himself by Clarkson and went abroad (on Toybota). As Clarkson is about to raise back to the surface he made a sharp turn and then gets capsized as both were soaked with wet in their clothes as well.

Dampervan Mark 2[]

The second Dampervan, this time with a blue/white livery, was used in the second amphibious car challenge. It performed well at first in the harbour, but due to the very rough seas the engine became damaged, meaning an outboard motor had to be fitted (during which, Clarkson puts a price tag of 1 million pounds for a small outboard motor). Despite this, it promptly sank as both Richard and James finally abroaded to Nissank, it was originally to Calais but went to Sangette, France instead.
