Circuito de Sir Francis Drake was the street circuit that the presenters of Top Gear designed and built in their supercar road trip across Spain, featured in series twenty of the show during the third episode. The street circuit was made from the deserted streets of a Madrid housing estate and given its name as a subtle dig at the Spanish (Sir Francis Drake was one of the commanders of the English fleet that defeated the Spanish Armada.) The circuit was used by the presenters in a final challenge to see who could beat the Stig's time that he had set in a Jaguar XKR-S Convertible. None of the presenters were able to achieve this however Richard was the closest thus giving him and his Ferrari the win. Known corner names include 'The Rockery of Gibraltar' and 'Lord Howard of Effingham Chicane', along with the 'Nobody Expects the Spanish' speed hump and the 'Golden Hind' straight.
